The first months of Makro with Múza
Accounts were activated for 3,383 people, dozens of onboarding materials, and the perspective of Makro itself.

The first months of Makro with Múza
“Múza piqued our interest immediately. It’s innovative and different from all competing systems,” says Andrea Lopatová, Senior Compensation Manager.
What is the process of implementing a completely new system for more than 3,300 employees? Are people open to change, or are they more likely to resist it? What did we take away from this for future implementations?
From our point of view
Makro is the first large client in the Czech Republic to switch to our new Múza benefit system.
This was preceded by years of development and testing with HR and users. Múza also succeeded in a tender where it was up against competing solutions. The actual onboarding of 3,383 people primarily involved four teams from the Czech branch of Benefit Plus: product, ACM, customer support, and marketing. We’ve got their perspective and hard data for you.

Materials we’ve created for smooth onboarding and adaptation of employees to the new system

We were prepared for a barrage of questions – we only had to answer 90 in the end.
People were used to a different system. Múza is making great strides in the world of benefits. New payment methods, fund transfers, and 3,383 people across positions. In the end, our line handled only 90 enquiries. Thanks to the intuitive environment and instructional materials, people were able to manage on their own.
"On D-Day, several thousand onboarding emails were sent out, and several departments sat together on the hotline. We trust Múza, but we want to do our best. In the end, only 90 questions were received in the whole three months.”

Michaela Beranová
Múza Onboarding Manager
"We’ve confirmed that Múza is really intuitive and easy for employees to use, which is great. And this applies to management as well as the warehouse staff.”

Senior IT Project Manager
The perspective of the most important ones – Makro employees
What other employees say
Employee
Makro
“I like the wide range of activities, the possibility to use benefits flexibly, whether it’s wellness, culture or sports. I also like the fact that I can use the benefits at Booking.com.”
Employee
Makro
“Each vendor has a description of how the benefit can be used, so I don’t have to worry about not being able to pay. With MúzaPay on mobile, I can easily transfer money to my virtual card as I need.”
Employee
Makro
“Compared to the previous benefits system, everything is faster, clearer, and available in a few clicks. The MúzaPay app is clear, and payments are smooth and secure.”
HR’s perspective
Múza was created with great regard for the work of HR specialists
It’s faster, clearer, and simpler. The MúzaIn web application provides administration of internal benefits and processes, such as financial benefits or answers to questions.
What we’ve learned and recommend to you
Don't be afraid of change
More than 3,300 people have made the transition to the new system – proving that fears of adoption are often unnecessary. Employees appreciate the change.
Onboarding needs to be comprehensive
A big client deserves onboarding that covers all areas – technical, content, and human.
Communicate like your employees
Work with different types of content – online and offline, just like your employees are used to.
Give yourself time to prepare
The onboarding process for a big client always requires a time commitment from the team on the provider side – the more unique the client, the more time that’s required.

What do we plan to do next?
We’re not stopping, and we’re preparing a lot of news for you.
